Transcona’s own Market Garden and Crafters/Flea Market will run again this year. Last year, in what has become a community-favourite event, local producers sold crunchy cucumbers, juicy corn on the cob, sweet tomatoes, fresh fragrant dill and many more summer time treats. Talented crafters also brought a medley of unique and interesting handicrafts and many great bargains were available from Transcona flea marketers.

Transcona’s vibrant community spirit was visible as lines began forming before opening time and members of the community chatted together as they perused the selection of fresh veggies. New faces to Transcona were welcomed to the community and existing community ties were renewed. Visitors from other areas of the city also got a taste of Transcona’s rich community life.
